Mandops first started selling liquid fertilisers when SULFASTIM^® was launched. As well as providing vital nutrients (macro and micro), Mandops' range of foliar fertilisers also produce healthier plants.

SULFASTIM is a clear solution containing about 290 grams per litre of sulphur and about 130 grams per litre of nitrogen. Whilst elemental sulphur will slowly be broken down into a form that the crop can readily absorb, the sulphur in SULFASTIM is already in a form which can be taken up by the plant. This foliar fertiliser also contains a plant biostimulant system which, together with the readily available sulphur, gives the plant an immediate boost of vigour, contributing to a better N:S ratio and increased plant health.

The next foliar fertiliser to be developed was RESISTIM^®. Starting with a simple phosphite salt and using their knowledge of plant stimulant systems, Mandops produced a very effective fertiliser. RESISTIM provides potash and phosphorus and aids the production of strong, healthy, plants more able to resist disease. Trials in various countries showed that this was a world class product and sales have increased steadily worldwide.

The latest Mandops foliar fertilisers are STIMUL-8^® and PROPAG-8^® (worldwide patents granted).

These products were initially developed following discussions with Plant Propagators Limited, an Association of UK plant propagators, who wanted a product to improve the quality and rooting of seedlings produced for transplanting. Using the knowledge we had gained from our other foliar fertilisers and combining this with our proprietary biostimulant systems, we developed STIMUL-8 and PROPAG-8.

These products assist the production of well rooted modules and seedlings which are more resistant to disease and are now being used commercially for the production of salad and brassica plants from seed. Also, trials with strawberry plants have shown remarkable improvements in the quality and quantity of new strawberry plants produced from runners, when the "mother" plant has been pre-treated with STIMUL-8. New work is now available which shows these are extremely useful products for use on ornamental and bedding plants. Leaflets are available describing the use of these products.
