We've been in business for twenty years and our products are bought by growers around the world. Our products are the result of innovative research by our founder and other key personnel. Dr Michael Sampson, the company's founder, was greatly interested by plant hormonal systems and how he could tailor products which, using the hormonal systems to best advantage, would help the plant achieve maximum yield with the minimum of inputs. In the UK, our products are sold both by specialist crop protection companies and also by large agricultural merchants such as Dalgety, Masstock and UAP. Around the world, Mandops' products are marketed by appointed agents through a variety of distributive outlets. NEW - W I D E - TIMINGS Pod shatter control Another patented Mandops product is SPODNAM. This unique product reduces seed loss from, in particular, pod bearing crops such as oilseed rape. The main problem with oilseed rape and similar crops is that the longer they are left to grow and ripen, the greater the risk of yield loss caused by pod splitting and seed loss. SPODNAM reduces shedding by reducing pod splitting. It works with most crops where the seeds are in capsules or pods which have a tendency to split and shed seed when ripe. SPODNAM is used worldwide on crops including oilseed rape, peas, beans (including soya and navy beans), lentils, linseed, onions, evening primrose and many more. In the UK, the main product used for pod shatter control is DESIKOTE. When diquat is used to desiccate oilseed rape, the rapid desiccation makes the pods very brittle and prone to shatter. The addition of DESIKOTE to the tank mixture reduces the tendency of the desiccated pods to shatter and gives some further insurance if the weather worsens just prior to combining. The DESIKOTE will further protect the pods for a few weeks after application. DESIKOTE may also be used on cereal crops to help maintain Hagberg values. Adjuvants Adjuvants are products which, when added to pesticides, increase their effectiveness by improving wetting, spreading, adhesion, rainfastness, etc. One of the most effective rainfasteners for pesticides is our product, SPRAYFAST. Foliar plant health fertilisers (for agriculture and horticulture) As well as providing vital nutrients (macro and micro), Mandops' range of foliar fertilisers also produce healthier plants. For instance, RESISTIM provides potash and phosphorus but also aids the plants to produce phytoallexins - natural chemicals which help the plants resist diseases. Other Mandops foliar fertilisers include BIOSTIM, PROPAG-8, STIMUL-8, SULFASTIM and MANFERT B.
